Hola! The campers are busy with their various workshops - Latin dancing, Conversing in Spanish, Art work from Panama, Spanish songs, Breakout Box, Drama. They are all having fun, experiencing new things and speaking Spanish! Tonight is our Carnaval celebration after dinner with food, music and more dancing. All will be ready for bed tonight!
Please come to our closing ceremony tomorrow at 10am. See you then!
Lights out! The exhausted campistas are all in bed, sad to be leaving tomorrow. Our closing assembly is tomorrow at 10 am, and we would love it if parents can come and join us. Regardless, all students should be picked up at 10:45.
Students attend various workshops, including Flamenco and Latin dance, cooking, board games, speaking, volleyball, yoga, soccer. After lunch, more talleres and then some well-deserved relaxation before we get ready for Carnaval.
Today has been a day full of exciting experiences and challenges for the students. After a long day of workshops, the students took a break to relax a bit and then eat dinner. After dinner, we had our Carnaval. Among lots of dances and singing, we also had a talent show, ate sopapillas y casi-sangría, and voted on the best outfit for the night. Even though all of our students have shown tremendous spirit and commitment to the Spanish language, each madre or padre chose one person to recognize as the MVP of their familia, and the instructors of each workshop also chose a super-star to recognize. Below you can find the names of all of our prize winners. We hope to see you tomorrow at 10:00 am in Mobley Hall to watch the familias perform their family drama, as well as the camp dance. Remember, all students are expected to have a ride by 11:15. Buenas noches!

Here at immersion camp, we travel in "grupos de familia." This year, we have 12 amazing familias led by our awesome and energetic madres and padres. Last night, they created banderas to show their family pride. What do you think? Super-creativo, no?
Things could not be going better here at immersion camp! The students have already had a busy day of talleres (workshops) such as cooking, dancing, singing, art projects, skits, fútbol, and more! Check back in later for more updates.
